Description	:	James Marshall Huffman, 81, of Pearisburg, died Tuesday, January 7, 1997 in Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital. Mr. Huffman was born on December 10, 1915 in Newport, Va. and was a son of the late Marshall C. and Mary Duncan Huffman. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers, Carl, Ralph, Martin and Fred, and a sister, Thelma. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Eloise Denton Huffman, Pearisburg; one daughter, Joyce H. Brumback, Greensboro, N. C.; one son, David E. James was a life long resident of Giles County, and was an active member of the Pearisburg Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Trustee. He was Master Mason of Giles Lodge #106 in Pearisburg for over 50 years. He was a loving and caring husband and father. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 10, 1997 at 2 p.m. in the Pearisburg Baptist Church with the Rev. H. Gray Smith officiating, with interment in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home, Pearisburg, Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pearisburg Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 600 Tazewell Street, Pearisburg, Va. 24134.
