Description	:	James Martin Banning was born in Macon county, Missouri January 15, 1887. He moved with his parents to Chautauqua County Kansas in 1890. He was married in 1916 to Miss Arrah Barton. To this union were born two daughters, Wilma and Maxine. He died on his 37th birthday January 15, 1924, at the St. Mary's hospital at Winfield. Besides his wife and daughters, he leaves to mourn his departure his mother, six brothers, two sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. Allen, Mrs. Pearl Burden, Mrs. Tessie West, Mrs. Georgia Sanborn, Mrs. Leonard, Mrs. Rinda Lyon, Fred Wiley and H. Hooper very feelingly sang, "Jesus Lover of My Soul," "Face to Face" and "Rock of Ages" Burial was made in the Round Mound cemetery where the Odd Fellows had charge.
