He was a Logistics Analyst with National Technologies for the civil service with 35 years of service in the A6 and V22 programs. He was born in Union City, PA to the late Linwood Bert Bowman, Sr. and Mrs. Meredith Louise Hunt Bowman. He was a Logistics Analyst with National Technologies for the civil service with 35 years of service in the A6 and V22 programs. For 32 years he volunteered in the AWANA program, served as a commander at Grace Baptist Church in Chesapeake and Community Baptist Church in Newport, NC. He also served as a Deacon and Adult Sunday school Teacher at Community Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Mildred Edna Garnes Bowman; son, Michael W. Bowman; sisters, Sandra Mae and her husband, Verel Ray Salmon, Nancy Ellen and her husband, Benton Joseph Rose, Laurie Ann and her husband, Rodney Allen Burnett; brothers, Linwood Bert Bowman Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth, Thomas Lee Bowman and his wife, Cathy Mae, Bruce Wayne Bowman and his wife, Candy and, Ricky Allen Bowman; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of church family and friends. A service to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Bartholemew officiating. He will be laid to rest at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
