Mr. Mullikin, Known To Countless Relatives And Friends As "Uncle Jim" Was A Native And Lifelong Resident Of The Community In Which He Died And Before His Retirement Was Engaged In Farming. He Had Enjoyed Unusually Good Health All Of His Long And Active Life And Up Until The Time Of His Last Illness, Had Never Needed The Services Of A Physician. He Would Have Attained His 92 Birthday Next... He Would Have Attained His 92 Birthday Next November 2. A Son Of The Late Samuel Mullikin And Sarah Jane Israel Mullikin. He Was A Descendant Of Pioneer Families Of This Section Of The State. He Was A Faithful Member And The Oldest Deacon Of The Six And Twenty Baptist Church, With Which He Had Been Affiliated Since His Early Life. Survivors Include His Widow, Mrs. Hattie Hicks Mullikin; Seven Sons, W. T. Mullikin, Of The Lebanon Community, W. M., W. A., M. D., And C. T. Mullikin, All Of Six And Twenty Section; J. S. Mullikin And A. F. Mullikin, Both Of Greenville; One Daughter, Mrs. J. H. Rainey, Of Pelzer. He Also Leaves 36 Grandchildren, 43 Great Grandchildren, And Several Great Great Grandchildren To Mourn His Passing. Funeral Services Will Be Held From Six And Twenty Baptist Church This Afternoon At 4 PM. The Rev. Earl H. Sargent, The Rev. F. S. Childress, And The Rev. Coley Clevland Will Officiate. Burial Will Be In The Family Plot In The Adjoining Cemetery. Grandsons Will Serve As Active Pallbearers: Harold, Mcdow, And Wilborn Mullikin, Blease Rainey, Dwight Gravley, And Franklin Sanders. Deacons Of Six And Twenty Church And Members Of The Men's Bible Class Will Compose The Escort Of Honor. Granddaughters Will Serve As Flower Bearers. The Body Will Lie In State At The Home Of M. D. Mullikin In The Six And Twenty Community After 1 PM Today Until The Hour Of The Services. The Mcdougald-Johnston Funeral Home Is In Charge.
