The dead were identified as James Paul Norris, 46, of the Maple community and Harry Lee Taylor, 52, of the Homewood community. Injured and admitted to the hospital was Franklin Tucker who was transferred to a Charelston hospital Sunday morning for further treatment. According to Highway Patrol reports, the accident occurred about 8:30 p.m. Saturday five miles northwest of Conway on Secondary Road 65. An investigation by Horry County Coroner Clayton Richardson and the S.C. Highway Patrol is continuing. Mr. Norris was born in Horry County, a son of Mrs. Fannie Lewis Norris and the late John William Norris. He was a veteran of the USAF, World War II, and employed for many years at AVX in Myrtle Beach. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Betty Lou Price Norris; two sons, Sgt. James P. Norris of Uborn AFT, Thailand, and Ronald Earl Norris of Conway; two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Paula) Sellers of Mullins and Mrs. Ronnie (Jackie) Miller of Columbia; his mother; three brothers, John Norris of Charleston, Dock Norris of Conway and Archie Norris of Fayetteville, N.C.; five sisters, Mrs. Mildred Suggs of Conway, Mrs. Luman (Edith) Russell of Annadale, Va., Mrs. Maxie (Ruby) Coleman of Columbia, Mrs. Howard (Janie) Martin of Georgetown, Mrs. Bessie (Betty) Cuasey of Hartsville, and four grandchildren. Plans will be announced by Goldfinch Funeral Home. Mr. Taylor was born at Milton, N.C., a son of the late Henry and Belle George Taylor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force in World War II, having been stationed at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base and remaining in this area to make his home after his discharge. Surviving are a son, Buddy Taylor of Conway; three daughters, Mrs. Clifton H. (Peggy) Wilson, III, of Montgomery, Ala., Mrs. Frances Lee (Jean) Holden of Conway and Mrs. Oscar Levon (Dean) Larrimore of Marion; four brothers; Ivy and Hugh Taylor of Roanoke, Va., Harvey Taylor of Talbert, Tenn., and Kenwood Taylor of Durham, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Matlock and Mrs. Grace Barts of Durham, N.C., and Iola Taylor of Birginia [sic], and seven grandchildren.
