Description	:	James "Pete" Terry, 69, of New London, N.C. passed away Thursday May 22, 2014 in his home. His funeral service will be 2 PM Saturday May 24 at First Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Leslee Wray officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. Born December 27, 1944 in Stanly County, N.C. he was the son of the late Oscar William Terry and Maggie Janette Carter Terry. He was a graduate of the first graduating class of North Stanly High School and an employee of Clayton and Oakwood Homes. Mr. Terry is survived by his wife Patsy Turner Terry of the home for 50 years. Other survivors include three daughters: Angela Esposito and husband David of Albemarle, N.C., Cindy Morris and Bonnie Terry both of New London, N.C., two sisters: Sandra Queen and husband Jimmy of Indian Trail, N.C. and Sheila Hawks and husband Tom of Albemarle, N.C., six grandchildren: Jake and Maggie Tucker, Caila and Darien Morris, Sabrina and Carter Terry. The family would like to express their gratitude to Community Home Care and Hospice for their care during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Stanly Funeral Home, P.O. Box 207, Albemarle, N.C. 28002, for James Terry.
