Read More	SOURCE: Greenville News, Page 12 DATE: Monday, September 17, 1956 PRESS BARBARE TAYLORS, Sept. 16 - Press Barbare, 77, of Rt. 1, Taylors, died at 1:20 p.m. Sunday at his home following an illness of two years. Mr. Barbare was a lifelong resident of the Double Springs community, and was a son of the late Tim and Martha Stewart Barbare. He was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Edwards Barbare; one foster son, James Edwards of the home; four brothers, Homer Barbare of Rt. 1, Taylors, John Barbare of Piedmont, Walter Barbare of Easley and Jess Barbare of Rt. 5, Greenville; three sisters, Miss Leila Barbare of Rt. 1, Taylors, Mrs. Millie Mayfield of Marietta and Mrs. Augie Smith of Rock Hill; and one grandson. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Double Springs Baptist Church by the Rev. Huford Cash, the Rev. W.H. Harbin, and the Rev. Hall Hillifield. Burial will be in the Church cemetery. The following nephews will be pallbearers: Eugene, James, Paul and Arnold Barbare, Gerald Waters and Grady Sandlin. Deacons and members of the David Carpenter Sunday School Class of Double Springs, and John Dill, Jason Dill, Jimmy Thompson, Lawrence Thompson, Eugene McConnell, John McConnell, Dr. R.C. Alverson, Dr. Francis Sullivan, the Rev. George Lockaby, Virgil Ballew, George Ballew, Marshall Ballew, Homer Crain, Joe Brookshire, Clint Lynn, Cliff Fowler, Lewis Brown and L.E. Ross will be the honorary escort. The body is at the Wood Mortuary, and will be carried to the home at 3 p.m. Monday, and will be placed in the Church at 3 p.m. Tuesday. {from the files of Cathy Griffith}
