Tuesday in Mercy hospital at Cedar Rapids to James Yilek Jr., 42, a life-long resident of the Clutier community. He was a victim of Bright’s disease and had been in failing health several months, although his condition only recently was considered critical. He was at Mercy hospital for treatment early in the summer and returned home considerably improved. He went back to the hospital sixteen days before his death. Funeral services yesterday morning, at 9 o ’clock at the home southeast of Clutier and at 10 o’ clock at Immaculate Conception church here, were in charge of the Rev. Father Thomas Vopatek, who performed the decedent's marriage ceremony in the same church fifteen years ago. Burial was in St. Vaclav cemetery. The decedent was a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Yilek Sr., now living near Dysart, and was born October 28, 1897. He lived with his parents on a farm southeast of Clutier until his marriage here November 23, 1925 to Anna Kuchynka. The couple began housekeeping on the former Frank Yanda farm in the same community. All of their life has been spent on the same farm. Besides the widow, one son Leonard, survives. Mr. Yilek also is survived by his parents; one brother, George Yilek, of Vining; and two sisters, Anna, at home, and Mrs. Agnes Banes, of Dysart.
