Description	:	James Raymond Seekford, 67, of Rt. 1, Stanley, died Friday, June 7, at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital... He was born in Stamley in 1901 and was the son of the late William and Emma Higgs Seekford. He was employed at the Walled Lake Door Company in Stanley. Mr. Seekford was twice married. His first wife, Mrs. Flora Price, preceded him in death in 1939.... Read More	James Raymond Seekford, 67, of Rt. 1, Stanley, died Friday, June 7, at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital... He was born in Stamley in 1901 and was the son of the late William and Emma Higgs Seekford. He was employed at the Walled Lake Door Company in Stanley. Mr. Seekford was twice married. His first wife, Mrs. Flora Price, preceded him in death in 1939. His second wife, the former Miss Marie Weaver, survives. Surviving, besides his wife are three daughters, Mrs. Charles Nutty of Grottoes; Mrs. Charles Corder of Stanley and Mrs. Janet McAllister of Shenandoah; six sons, Alfred Seekford, Charles Seekford and James Seekford Jr. all of Florida; Isaac Seekford of Harrisonburg; Leonard Seekford of Port Republic and Roy Seekford who is serving in Thailand with the U.S. Army; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Willie Smith of Shenandoah and a brother, Lee Seekford of Stanley. Funeral services were conducted Monday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church at Alma, with the Rev. M.P. Lane Jr. officiating. Burial took place in the church cemetery. Page News & Courier, June 13, 1968
