Description	:	James Reece Looney, 86, of Smithville, passed away May 27, 2012, at NHC Healthcare of Smithville. Mr. Looney had been superintendent of East TN Bridge Builders. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He served on the USS Solomons Aircraft Carrier Ship CVE67 and was a Seaman First Class. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Houston and Calllie Armenda Jackson Looney, and six sisters, Edith Cantrell, Mary Lou Robinson, Sally Cantrell, Auda Mae Maynard, Pauline Billings and Willie Dimple Maynard. Funeral service was 1 p.m., May 30, 2012, at Johnson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, with burial in the Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Gary Farris officiated.
