Description	:	James Rey Chace funeral was held Friday with burial in the Pilger cemetery. He was born Feb. 1, 1858 at East Claridon, Ohio, the third son of a family of 7 children to Edwin R. and Polly Chace. At the age of 3 they moved to Buchanan county, Iowa and in 1869 they moved to Barton county, Missouri. He was born Feb. 1, 1858 at East Claridon, Ohio, the third son of a family of 7 children to Edwin R. and Polly Chace. At the age of 3 they moved to Buchanan county, Iowa and in 1869 they moved to Barton county, Missouri. In 1920 he and his family moved to Stanton and have been here since. He married Minnie Keeley on Oct. 8, 1890 at Wellington, Illinois. They had 3 children: Mellie, Walter, Harold. She died Jan. 3, 1905. He married Bessie Lackey on June 25, 1908 and they had 2 children: Marion and Dorothy. He was survived by his wife Bessie, his 5 children, 3 brothers: Charles of Stanton, Cheney of Wayne, Nathan at Long Beach, California; 3 sisters; Mrs. Amanda Person and Mrs. Mae Miller both of Long Beach, California; Mrs. Anna McLeod of Ogallala.
