At the age of three, Mickey went to live with his maternal grandparents, Luther R. & Abbie G. Shores McKnight. Mickey was a PFC in the U.S. Army. He received the Purple Heart for wounds received in Sicily. He married Alma Marie Everitts in 1944. He was the father of Anne Marie Oden Marshall. His siblings were Eddie, Leo, Benny, Buddy and Shirley. |
