He had been sick over a month and they were taking him to Mitchell where he might have the benefit of hospital care. Mr. Collins came to this country from Wisconsin, when a young man and homesteaded in Cleveland township. He was united in marriage to Miss Burns and they have made their home here since, going through all the hardships of early pioneer life. Collins, died enroute to a Mitchell hospital a week ago Friday. He had been sick over a month and they were taking him to Mitchell where he might have the benefit of hospital care. Mr. Collins came to this country from Wisconsin, when a young man and homesteaded in Cleveland township. He was united in marriage to Miss Burns and they have made their home here since, going through all the hardships of early pioneer life. Four children were born to this union, Everett of Minnesota, Mrs. G. Purcell and William of Kimball; one son Ray died a few years ago. Mr. Collins was seventy-five years old at the time of his death. Funeral services were held last Sunday from the Methodist church in Kimball. The body was laid to rest in the Kimball cemetary.
