| Description | : | James Rogers, 68 was born on Jan. 11, 1861 at Fairplay, WI, where he grew to manhood. In 1888 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth P. Smith. In 1894 Mr. and Mrs. Rogers moved to Parker, SD and since then made their home on Mr. Rogers farm, southwest of Parker. Mr. Rogers won the esteem of those who knew him. He was faithful in the discharge of his duties. Death came on Jan. 19th after a two weeks illness. The deceased is survived by his wife and four children.
