Evening State Journal; Lincoln, NE; Mon, 24 Dec 1928; p2 Raymond Pioneer, Hurt in Auto Accident Saturday Evening, Passes Away James Rohan, 59, resident of the Raymond vicinity for forty four years, died at St. Elizabth hospital at 3:25 a.m. Monday as a result of an automobile accident near his home three miles northeast of Raymond Saturday evening. Mr. Rohan and his son, James, were driving down a hill, when something is believed to have gone wrong with their car and they lost control of the machine. It turned over, throwing them out. Mr. Rohan sustained severe injuries to his back and neck and a skull fracture. James was not seriously injured. Mr. Rohan was taken to St. Elizabeth's hospital in Splain & Schnell's ambulance. The deceased is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, James and Joseph, both at home; two brothers, Patrick of Agnew and John of Spalding and three sisters, Mrs. Kate Gleason of Lincoln, Mrs. Mary Dowd, Greenwood, Mrs. Nora Gleason of Davey. The body is being held at the home of the brother Patrick at Agnew, in charge of Splain & Schnell. Evening State Journal; Lincoln, NE; Tues, 25 Dec 1928; p17 ROHAN-The body of James Rohan is at the home of his brother, Patrick, at Agnew. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's church there, Rev. J.J. Kaczmarek having charge. Burial will be in Agnew Cemetery.
