Son of Thomas Day and Mary Delpha Lively OBITUARY THE CHARITON HERALD-PATRIOT Chariton, Iowa Thursday, October 6, 1966 DAY - James Rosco Day, youngest son of Thomas and Mary Lively Day, was born May 19, 1917 at Swedeborg, Mo., and passed away at his home of a heart attack on September 26, 1966, at the age of 49 years, four months and six days. On June 19, 1946, he was united in marriage at Chariton to Doris Crawford of Lucas. To this union two children were born. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the European Campaign. He was a devoted husband and father and a faithful friend and will be greatly missed by those that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Theodore and Charley and an infant sister. Surviving are his wife, Doris, daughter, Linda, son, Leonard and one sister, Mrs. Rachel Miller of Springfield, Mo., and two brothers, Roy of Springfield, Mo., and Fred of Waynesville, Mo. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Brewer of the Central Assembly of God Church in Des Moines, were held in the Hamilton Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 29, 1966, with burial in the Norwood Cemetery.
