Description	:	James Shaw was born in Lancashire, England on February 3, 1970. He moved to the United States in 1884 and to the Kittitas Valley in 1889. James married Ella Jane Zimmerman in 1900 in Olympia, Washington. He ran many early enterprises in Kittitas County including what later became Kelleher Motors. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge as well as the Royal Arch Masons and the Knights Templar. He was also a long-term member of the Shriners.
