Few Greenville James (J.T.) Few, 86, of 125 Cherrylane Drive, husband of the late Willie Ruth Price Tapp Few, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at his home. Mr. Few was born in Greenville County, son of the late James C. and Annie Mae Hardin Few, he was a graduate of Mountain View High School in Taylors; attended the University of Texas for four years with a degree in Physical Education. Mr. Few served in the U.S. Army in Italy in the 10th Mountain Division for three years with numerous honors. He worked for Controlled Management Services of Birmingham for 34 years; he owned and operated The Coin Shop on Main Street in Greenville for 18 years. He was a life member of DAV Chapter 39 in Greer, S.C. and life member of Greenville and Parker Coin Club and a charter member of The S.C. Numismatic Association. Mr. Few was a member of the Woodmen of the World and a member and former deacon of Faith Temple in Taylors, and president of the Sunday School for 10 years. Surviving are four sons, Tim Few (Gloria) of Galveston, TX, Jimmy Tapp (Jeanna) of Greer, DeWayne Few (Felicia) of Greenville and Terry Few (Mickey) of Greenville; one brother Rusty Few of Greer; two sisters, Maureen Henson of Greer and Pat Stokes of AL; seven granddaughters; six grandsons and fifteen great-grandchildren. Mr. Few was predeceased by two brothers, Leo and Gabe Few and two sisters, Avenelle Crocker and Lila Few.
