Description	:	Crossville Chronicle January 22, 1931 Our community was saddened by the death of one of our pioneer citizens, J T Hall, or "Uncle Tom" as he was affectionately called. He had not been well for some time, having had his arm broken and receiving a severe nervous shock in an automobile accident last fall. He was taken ill last Wednesday and was a very sick man. He had not been well for some time, having had his arm broken and receiving a severe nervous shock in an automobile accident last fall. He was taken ill last Wednesday and was a very sick man. The doctor was called and everything that could be was done. The following Thursday he would have been 68 years old. Mr. Hall was born in the Valley, the son of Henry and Martha Houston Hall. He lived all his life in the valley and on this part of the mountain, and died at Biglick. He married Minerva Lowe, who died many years ago. He leaves one son, A H Hall, with whom he has made his home. He was carried to the Valley and laid to rest by the side of his mother in the Hall graveyard. The funeral services were conducted by Rev Goss. He leaves his sisters, Mrs. Lila Selby, Mrs. Dollie Swafford, Mrs Hixie Beyer and Mrs T L Hale, and his brothers, John, Gailan and W H Hall.
