Brown, 86, passed away suddenly Wednesday afternoon at the home of his daughter Mrs. Edith Morrison southeast of Maxwell. The deceased came to the Shipley community with his parents when a grown lad. After his marriage to Margaret B. Zook they lived in Cambridge for a number of years. Brown, 86, passed away suddenly Wednesday afternoon at the home of his daughter Mrs. Edith Morrison southeast of Maxwell. The deceased came to the Shipley community with his parents when a grown lad. After his marriage to Margaret B. Zook they lived in Cambridge for a number of years. After the wife's death about 30 years ago, Mr. Brown moved to Maxwell and since that time had been living with his children. Mr. Brown is survived by the following children: George Brown of Mitchellville, Mrs. Wm. Ballard and Dick Brown of Maxwell, Mrs. John Ballard of Ames and B. W. Brown of Milwaukee, Wis. He is also survived by two brothers, A. R. Brown of Tracy, Minn., and Manley Brown of Slayton, Minn., and one sister, Mrs. G. D. Rood of Des Moines. He also leaves 25 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren. Funeral services, in charge of Rev. C. R. Fitz, will be held at the Cooper Funeral Chapel in Maxwell, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the White Oak cemetery.
