Description	:	James Wallace Weaver, 83, passed away peacefully Friday, December 10, 2021, at his home surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Mr. Weaver was born on September 14, 1938, in Florence County, son of the late Wallace Legrand Weaver and Audrey Poston Weaver. In... Read More	James Wallace Weaver, 83, passed away peacefully Friday, December 10, 2021, at his home surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Mr. Weaver was born on September 14, 1938, in Florence County, son of the late Wallace Legrand Weaver and Audrey Poston Weaver. "Rab", a graduate of Hannah High School, began his secondary education at Wingate College receiving an associate degree in accounting. He continued to pursue higher learning at the University of Georgia where he earned a bachelor and master's degree in education followed by an Education Specialist Degree from the University of South Carolina. In 1967, Mr. Weaver began his career in Education as Principal/Teacher at Indiantown School. He continued teaching and coaching girls' basketball at Hemingway and Hannah-Pamplico High Schools. Igniting the true "spark" of his career, he found his educational home at Johnsonville Elementary School where he served as Principal from 1974-1998. Mr. Weaver had a true love for his faculty and the children that he served. The halls of JES, as well as the many individuals that passed through them during his tenure, will forever remember the aroma of his signature Borkum Riff. In 2001, he retired from Florence District 5 to enjoy his favorite place, Black River, with his family and friends. Alongside Mrs. Gen, Mr. James faithfully attended and served at Johnsonville First Baptist Church for 54 years. In addition to his parents and in laws, Stanley and Beulah White, Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by his brothers, Legrand Weaver, Howard Weaver and Billy Weaver; sisters, Wardie Jewel Weaver Stone, Jacqueline Weaver Mitcheom and Yvonne Weaver; brother-in-law Mark White.
