Description	:	James Mannetter, age 88, of Hubbard, IA, died on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Hubbard Care Center. James Walter Mannetter was born on February 21, 2013 on the family farm east of Hubbard. He was the only son born to Walter and Hulda (Schwartze) Mannetter. He was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church in Hubbard and remained a life long active member of the now Zion United Church of Christ. Read More	James Mannetter, age 88, of Hubbard, IA, died on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Hubbard Care Center. James Walter Mannetter was born on February 21, 2013 on the family farm east of Hubbard. He was the only son born to Walter and Hulda (Schwartze) Mannetter. He was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church in Hubbard and remained a life long active member of the now Zion United Church of Christ. Jim received his education by attending "Mud Swamp" Country School and Hubbard High School. On March 10th, 1948, Jim was united in marriage to Ruth Marie Oberhokamp in the St. John's Lutheran Church in Hubbard. After their marriage, they moved to the Mannetter home place east of Hubbard, where Jim and Ruth engaged in general farming. Jim also subsidized many vacations by doing carpentry work for Nehring Construction in Owasa. They retired into Hubbard in 1982. Jim passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Hubbard Care Center. Those remaining to cherish his memory include his three sons, Richard and his wife Cindy, Mark and his wife Denise, David and his wife Janet all of Hubbard, IA; one daughter Jayne and her husband Greg Purchla of Fairbault, MN; eleven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Hulda Mannetter and wife Ruth Mannetter whom he was very devoted to for 62 years.
