S. Army WW II veteran with the 104 Infantry Division as a machine gunner. He was also a avid gardener He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Lawson Fesmire. Survivors: sisters, Buena Edwards, and husband, Mack, of Liberty, Wanda Phillips, of Asheboro, . The family would like to express a special thank you to Universal Health Care for their kind and compatient care during James' sickness and to his neighbors, Jimmy and Mildred York, Ann Cox and Joseph Joerg.
