Description	:	Published in Cedar Valley Times on April 29, 1940 Funeral services for James W. Geater, long-time Vinton farmer, who died at his farm home north of Vinton Saturday, April 27, 1940, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Geater, who had been ill for about four years, died of a complication of diseases. He was born July 2, 1869 at Vinton, a son of George and Sarah Geater. He was married November 1, 1899 to Minnie Viola Keller, who with one son, Earl of Vinton and three grandchildren, survives.
