Description	:	The Sterling Sun Thursday, April 27, 1944 James William Pearson was born at Falls City, Nebr., July 2, 1881 and died suddenly of a heart attack in his barber shop, April 22, 1914, aged 62 years, 9 months and 21 days. He was the son of Benjamin and Anna Pearson. Read More	The Sterling Sun Thursday, April 27, 1944 James William Pearson was born at Falls City, Nebr., July 2, 1881 and died suddenly of a heart attack in his barber shop, April 22, 1914, aged 62 years, 9 months and 21 days. He was the son of Benjamin and Anna Pearson. When 6 years old he moved to Gordon, Nebr., with his parents; after two years they returned to Falls City and after one year there, came to Sterling where he grew to young manhood, attending the Sterling schools, graduating in 1902. Being musically inclined, he played in orchestra and band and in church orchestra. On June 25, 1907 he was married to Nellie Stinson. The marriage took place at the Arcade Hotel in Tecumseh, where Mr.and Mrs. Mike Morrissey, managers of the hotel gave them a wedding dinner. To this union were born four children, Dorothy Iola Powell now deceased; Evelyn May Juilfs of Sterling; Harold William of Bellevue, Nebr.; and Thelma Lucile Luce of North Platte, Neb. Those surviving are his wife Nellie, his mother Mrs. Ramsey, all the children excepting Mrs. Powell; seven grand children, also two aunts Mrs. Ida Maddox and Mrs. James Powell, both of Falls City. After their marriage they moved to Cambridge, returning to Sterling in 1909, when because of his health, he gave up the route and went into the barber shop with his step-father, and when Mr. Ramsey passed away on March 24th 1941, he took over the shop where he has worked alone until his death. Funeral services were held at the Zink Funeral Home April 25, at 2:30 P.M. conducted by Rev. W. H. Clark. The pall bearers were G. H. Warnke, E. J. Eilers, J. E. Caley, frank Zink, Herman Zuhlke and Vl Zink. John Janssen sang "Lead Kindly Light," and "Beautiful Land on High," accompanied by Mrs. Orvene Wilson. Burial was in the Sterling Cemetery.
