Description	:	Jamie Robert (Bogie) Fleming, 84, of Weeping Water, NE, passed away Sunday, April 6th, peacefully, at his residence. Jamie was born on a farm four miles southeast of Weeping Water, Nebraska on August 28, 1929,in his parents' bedroom Margaret (Ash) and Lyle Fleming.He attended a country school Sunny Hill. This school was just east of his home on what is now known as Adams street. He was 4 years old and went to his school through the eighth grade. Read More	Jamie Robert (Bogie) Fleming, 84, of Weeping Water, NE, passed away Sunday, April 6th, peacefully, at his residence. Jamie was born on a farm four miles southeast of Weeping Water, Nebraska on August 28, 1929,in his parents' bedroom Margaret (Ash) and Lyle Fleming.He attended a country school Sunny Hill. This school was just east of his home on what is now known as Adams street. He was 4 years old and went to his school through the eighth grade. He then attended Weeping Water Public School graduating the class of 1947 He worked on the farm and helped his dad milk 13 head of Cows and feed a 100 head of hogs. He also worked for a hay mill in Salem Nebraska during the summer and lived with Connie and Harold Noah. During the school years from the age of 14 to 15 he worked at the Weeping Water Bowling Alley setting pins. The summer of his 16 year he worked for Clarence Norris, raising turkeys and detasseling corn. During his high school years Jamie played Football and Basketball After graduation he worked at Steckleys as a sack sewer and helped load trucks with corn for delivery to farmers. Then he went to work at Ash Grove Cement plant for 2 years. He also worked for Burlington railroad in the signal department. Laid rail from Omaha to Billings Montana. Jamie married Edonis Garner in April of 1950 they lived in Weeping Water. Two Children were born to his union and were later divorced. He was drafted into the army in 1951 He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during the Korean War. He went to Korea after basic training on the 4th of July to the front lines. He was wounded the 15th day of August on Heartbreak Ridge, when 800 troops were sent up a hill and only 8 walked off. he received the Purple Heart for his wounds. After surgeries and recuperation he returned to Weeping Water He begin working Western Electric where he was employed until retirement On January 16, 1972 He married Joyce (Nicholson) in Papillion Nebraska He was a member of United Methodist Church Odd Fellows and American Legion Post #237. Jamie is survived by Wife Joyce; Daughters, Barbara, (Mark) Fjeld Tari, (Martin) Rupp Sons Steven, (Jennifer) Fleming Kirk Fleming Grandchildren Scott (Traci) Fleming, Chad (April) Fleming, Kara Fleming Morgan Fleming Jillian Fleming, Tanner Fjeld, James Fleming, Kirk Leroy (Beth) Fleming Jesse Fleming Allen Fleming, Adrian Fleming, Nicole (Micheal) Nielsen, Danae (Tim) McKenzie Travis(Jessica) Rupp and Craig (Andrea)Rupp Ten Great Grandchildren a brother, Don Fleming and many friends He was preceded in death by his parents.
