Description	:	OBITUARY: "Hagerstown - A little boy less than a year old was killed instantly...Saturday morning when he was crushed beneath the wheels of his father's gasoline truck. Victim of the tragic accident was Jan Ashe Burroughs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burroughs who live about 2 miles southwest of here. He would have been one on 17 Aug. The accident occurred at the Burroughs' farm home. Burroughs had started to back out of a lane when the dual wheels on the rear of the truck ran over the child. The child had left the house... Read More	OBITUARY: "Hagerstown - A little boy less than a year old was killed instantly...Saturday morning when he was crushed beneath the wheels of his father's gasoline truck. Victim of the tragic accident was Jan Ashe Burroughs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burroughs who live about 2 miles southwest of here. He would have been one on 17 Aug. The accident occurred at the Burroughs' farm home. Burroughs had started to back out of a lane when the dual wheels on the rear of the truck ran over the child. The child had left the house and wandered into the driveway while his father was getting into the truck and backing up. Burroughs did not see the child on his way to the truck. Surviving the child besides his parents are one brother, Jay; one sister, Joy; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lindley of Hagerstown; the paternal Grandmother, Mrs. Julia Beeson of Hagerstown; the paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Charles Heath of Modoc, and the maternal great-grandmother, Ms. Lula Lindley of Jacksonburg.
