He married Zofia ("Sophia") Frydrysck (Fredrick), and they moved to America in 1880 to begin their new life. They settled in Oak Creek with other family members, and farmed for a living. They had four sons and seven daughters and raised them there. Some died during the diphtheria epidemic that hit the area, it was a hard life.
