Description	:	John Prins Dies, 93, At Sanborn, Ia. John Prins, Sr., died at the home of his son John, Jr., in Sanborn on Tuesday, March 3 at the age of 93. Funeral services will be held Friday at 12:30 o'clock from the home in Sanborn, and at 2 o'clock from the 2nd Christian Ref. Church at Sioux Center. Rev. Straaks and Rev. Voorhees of Sanborn will officiate at the services. He was born July 29th, 1848 in Hoogeland, Netherlands. Voorhees of Sanborn will officiate at the services. He was born July 29th, 1848 in Hoogeland, Netherlands. On Nov. 7th, 1873 he married Geisje Veld and they came to America in 1882, settling first at Alton. They later moved to the farm and after a good many years of fanning, reared to live in Sioux Center in 1909. Mrs. Prins passed away in 1937. In 1938 Mr. Prins went to make his home with his son in Sanborn. Eight children were born to them, four of whom survive: Henry of Belton, Mo., Martin of Perkins, John, Jr. of Sanborn, and Jessie (Mrs. Henry L. Vander Berg of Sioux Center.). Two children died in infancy. Tena (Mrs. Frank Schutt) died at the age of 36 and Annie, (Mrs. Henry J. Mulder) died at the age of 53. Twenty-five grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren survive.
