Description	:	Jane Berry Bitzer was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Samuel Berry. She was brought to Iowa by her parents when she was five in a covered wagon. Jane married Galbreath Bitzer on July 5, 1862 in Muscatine, Iowa. She lived the rest of her life in Muscatine. She was active in the First Methodist church and devoted her life to church work. She was born near Dayton, Ohio and is a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Five children were born of their union, three sons and two daughters: Anna, is the wife of Joseph Bilkey, of Muscatine; William L., Frank and Jessie are at home; and one son died in infancy.
