Huff Died Saturday and His Wife Sunday Double Funeral S. J. Huff, who died at noon last Saturday and his wife, who died at 3 p. m. Sunday, were interred at Union Chapel Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock in a double burial ceremony, which was in charge of Rev. S.E. Wright, pastor of the City road and white memorial Methodist churches. Mr. Huff was 82 years old and his wife was 71. Both had been in ill health for a long time, Mrs. Huff for about ten years and her husband for the past two years. Mr. Huff had been confined to his bed and was considered seriously ill for a little than a week prior to his death, and his wife was confined to her bed with her last critical illness for three days before the end came. They made homes at South Henderson, where funeral services were held. Mrs. Huff had been a member of the Baptist church for nearly 20 years. Mr. Huff was born and reared in Vance County and had lived in this city for almost 27 years. They had been married for about 38 years, and leave three daughters, Mrs. J. L. Honnicutt, Mrs .L. F. Branch and Mrs. J. L. Cash, all of Henderson. L.W. Huff of the Bearpond section of the County, was the son of Mr.Huff by his first marriage, and Mrs. Huff had three children by her first marriage, these being Mrs. J. W Oakley and Mrs. J. A. Andrews, of Henderson, and Mrs. J. B. Smith, of Epsom, this county. Both the deceased were well known and highly respected people of the community.
