Jane Eva Fiscus, daughter of Ole and Margaret (Tune) Melberg was born June 18, 1933 in Le Grand, Iowa. She graduated from Marshalltown Public Schools. She was united in marriage to Willis Fiscus on April 2, 1955, in Marshalltown. She was a homemaker when they lived on the farm. After moving to Marshalltown she was a receptionist for Leonard Grimes’ Law Firm. Most recently she worked at Bob’s Furniture Store where she retired. Three children were born to this union: Michael, Mark and Susan. Jane and Willis moved to Marshalltown in 1986. They recently moved to Ames to be closer to family. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Marshalltown. She very much enjoyed flowers, but her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren truly brought her the most joy in life. Jane is survived by her husband, Willis of Ames; children, Michael (Dalona) of Hubbard, Iowa, Mark (Rhonda) of Ames, IA, and Susan (Jack) Pulliam of Des Moines, IA; ten grandchildren, Hillary, Kristen, Joel, Megan, Matthew, Kathryn, Amelia, Ruth, Simon, and Franklin; two great grandchildren, Chase and Roman; and a sister, Maris Byrnes of Grundy Center, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Gordon V. Melberg.
