Description	:	Jane "Jincy" Richardson (middle name perhaps Virginia?) was a daughter of Kendrick Richardosn and his wife Jane Garis. I am not exactly sure of her birth date. The 1900 census states she was born in Oct. 1824, but other census records suggests 1826-1828. She gave her aga as 75, when she applied for a Confederate widow's pension in June 1901. Jane married Millineum Lawson Starnes (c. 1827-1864) around 1847, and they had eight children: Mary M. Starnes (1848-1925, Mrs. Daniel Starnes), Millineum Lawson Starnes, Jr. (1851-1917), Frances Starnes (c. 1853-?, Mrs. William Doster), Jane Roxanna Starnes (c. 1854-1888, Mrs. William Glenn), Arminta Starnes (c. 1856-?), Clarissa "Clercy" Starnes (1857-1923, Mrs. William Greene Wallace), Louisa Starnes (1860-1894, Mrs. Lloyd Fincher), and Sarah Irene Starnes (1863-1946, Mrs. Samuel Walkup Dunn). Millinuem Starnes served in Co. B., 26th NC Regiment, Confederate States Army. He was captured at the Battle of Gettysburg in July 1863, and confined to the infamous prison at Point Lookout, Maryland, where he died in January 1864. (There are two memorials for him on Find A Grave, on at Pt. Lookout, and one here in this cemetery.) Jane was still living in June 1901, when she applied for a pension as a Confederate widow. I do not know when she died, and I am not certain she is buried in this cemetery. However, I think it highly likely.
