She graduated from Clinton High School in 1976. Jane was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and other people’s kids. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Jane and her mother Merle had two routes delivering the Clinton Herald for over 10 years. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, and playing cards. Jane is survived by her three children, Theresa Manning of Clinton, Jay (Sandy) Kostka of Clinton, and Brian (Kaitlynn) Kostka of Fulton, IL; 9 grandchildren, Ashley, Holly, Abby, Erin, Harley, Rodney, Scotty, Konner, Kaylee; her great grandson, Zander; three sisters, Brenda Woody, Sandy (Harry) Bovis, and Carol Lueders all of Clinton; three brothers, Clifford (Shirley) Melvin of Miles, IA, Stephen (Joyce) Melvin of Rock Falls, IL, and Kevin Melvin of Clinton; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Glen Lueders. Visitation will be held Sunday 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton.
