Jesse and Jane probably had 6 children, John C., Henry E., Harriett, Martha, M.(son ?), and Lee, as per the 1880 census. Jesse died the 29th of May 1864 in Fort Douglas (a Union Prison Camp) during the War Between the States. He is interred in the Confederate Mound, a mass grave burial ground there.
