Description	:	Janet Funston, 79, Bismarck, ND died November 28, 2021 at her residence in Bismarck. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bismarck with Pastor Mark Narum officiating. Interment will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday at the Mercer Hillside Cemetery, Mercer, ND with Pastor Randy Emgarten officiating. Read More	Janet Funston, 79, Bismarck, ND died November 28, 2021 at her residence in Bismarck. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Janet Littke was born January 26, 1942 in Turtle Lake, ND. She grew up on a farm north of Mercer, attended country school for 8 years and graduated from Mercer High School in 1959. Janet married Albert Schadler on June 17, 1959. They lived south of Bismarck and had 3 sons together. Janet went on to attend Lake Region Community College where she earned her degree as a Practical Nurse in 1985. She worked as an LPN at Medcenter One and St. Alexius for many years and was most proud of her work in the Transitional Care Unit. Janet later married Stanley Funston and they lived in Minnesota for a time before later separating. Janet enjoyed gardening and canning much of what she produced. She also loved her pets over the years. Janet is survived by her sons, Alan (Melinda) Schadler and Lyle (Karen) Schadler, all of Fargo, and Jeff (Ruth) Schadler of Bismarck; her grandchildren, Jameson Schadler, Landon Schadler, Carson Schadler, Lisa (Rick) Kremer, Derek Schadler, Ashlee Schadler and Kelcee Schadler; her great grandchildren, Clara Kremer and Elliott Kremer; her sister, Susan (Gene) Brown of Fargo and brother, Jerry Littke of Hillsboro.
