Boyd, 76, of 419 Burrhus street, died at her home early Sunday morning. The only daughter of Demoval and Jessie Cook Coffman, she was born hear Keosauqua on June 26, 1884. She came to Ottumwa in 1900 and had been a resident here since that time. In 1906 she married Clyde Edsen Weldon and to this union was born one son, Earl Clyde Weldon, who has lived with her in recent years. Later she was married to John Edward Carroll of North Platte, Neb., and Ottumwa. To this union was born one daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Beery. Surviving are the son and daughter and a grandson, Carol Jean Roberts of Cedar Rapids. In later years she married Clarence Boyd of Highland Center, who died July 23, 1957. She attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, the YWCA’s Senior Citizens, the Salvation Army’s Golden Ager club and the Home League. She was a charger member of the Golden Agers and served as the secretary at the time of her death. She was also a member of the Milwaukee Ladies auxiliary and the Milwaukee Women’s club. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Jay funeral home with A.O. Smith of the Ward Street Gospel chapel and the Rev. Richard Easterday of the Christian Missionary Alliance church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerald Beckwith, Jessie Meredith, Charles Raines, Brigadier Lee, Harry Biddle and Ralph Richey.
