She married Richard Santema at Lake Campbell in 1961, and Glen Lee at Lake Campbell on April 26, 1997. She is survived by her husband, Glen of Madison; one son, Steven (Kristen) Santema of Frisco, Texas; two grandchildren, Scott and Brett; two sisters, Jeanne Mette of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Joanne (Ernie) Schroeder of Watertown, S.D. Janet Claire Dahl was born on Sept. 13, 1942, at Madison to Virgil and Esther (Leite) Dahl. She married Richard Santema at Lake Campbell in 1961, and Glen Lee at Lake Campbell on April 26, 1997. She is survived by her husband, Glen of Madison; one son, Steven (Kristen) Santema of Frisco, Texas; two grandchildren, Scott and Brett; two sisters, Jeanne Mette of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Joanne (Ernie) Schroeder of Watertown, S.D. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Jeffrey Santema, on Sept. 11, 2010. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at Lake Campbell Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Ryan Mutzenberger officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. She grew up near Lake Campbell and attended Washington 18 County School. She graduated from Volga (S.D.) High School in 1960 and Northwest Commercial College in Huron, S.D. She worked as a secretary at South Dakota State University in Brookings before moving to Rochester, where she worked at IBM and Lourdes High School. She was a member of the United Methodist Church UMW and circle. She assisted in preparing the Over 80 Party for several years and helped prepare the church cookbook. She also volunteered at Prairie Village. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ, making quilts for charity, traveling, and was a member of the "Harmonicats Band." There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel, which is in charge of the arrangements. Obituary and photo from Rochester Post Bulletin, Oct. 26, 2010.
