Her funeral service will be 7 PM Wednesday January 22, 2014 at Full Gospel Mission Church with Rev. Billy West, Rev. Buck Cannupp, Rev. Otis Goins and Rev. James Chambers officiating. Burial will be 11 AM Thursday January 23, 2014 in Poplins Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:30 until 7:00 PM prior to the service at Full Gospel Mission Church. Mrs. Cook was born in Stanly County and was the daughter of the late Marshall Willard Honbarrier and Ruby Marie Kearns Honbarrier. She was a graduate of Albemarle High School and a homemaker. Mrs. Cook was a member of Full Gospel Mission Church where she organized the Lady's Auxiliary in the church and faithfully served the church as the pastor's wife for almost forty years. She dearly loved her family, dolls and angels and she also enjoyed camping and gardening. She was married to Rev. Mitchell Dewaine Cook of the home for forty seven years. They celebrated their 47th anniversary on January 14, 2014. Other survivors include four daughters: Laura Carrickhoff and husband John of Albemarle, N.C., Rita Hinds and husband Jim of New London, N.C., Jessica Cook of Mooresville, N.C. and Courtney Faith of the home, one brother Garrett D. Honbarrier and wife Judy of New London, N.C., seven grandchildren, two nephews: Tommy Honbarrier and wife Myra of Midland, N.C. and Troy Honbarrier and wife Misty of New London, N.C. A son Reggie Dale Cook preceded her in death. Born: - Janet Fay Honbarrier, daughter of Marshall Willard Honbarrier, was born c.1943 in Stanly Co, NC.
