Burial will be at 3 p.m. Mountain Standard Time in Berea Cemetery at Chappell. Janet was born on March 23, 1937, at Julesburg, Colo., the beautiful daughter of Walter and Jennie (Day) Olson. Janet attended country school not far from her home and graduated from Garden County High School at Oshkosh in 1957. She received a special award from Betty Crocker, General Mills Inc., of Minneapolis. Janet continued her college education at Wahoo, after which she obtained a position teaching children. She was united in marriage to Ronald Gordon Crabb on June 2, 1957, in the Berea Lutheran Church at Chappell. The couple made their home in Denver, later moving to Broadwater. Together they raised their three wonderful children, Daniel, Cynthia and David. Janet loved being a wife and mother. Later, when the children were older, she and her husband owned BlueBird Dry Cleaners, and Janet was the bookkeeper and front desk manager. While living in Boulder, Janet was president of Women’s AGLOW. After retirement, they moved to a ranch in Collbran, Colo., at the base of the Grand Mesa, where Janet delighted in working with the animals. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ronald; children, Daniel Crabb of Guatemala, Cindy (Jeff) Burwell of St. Paul and David (Maria) Crabb of Grand Junction, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Alexandria “Lexy” Crabb and Joshua Crabb. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Walter “Tom” Olson; and a daughter-in-law, Sulamita “Sula” Crabb, in 2014.
