Jan Howard died Tuesday, Jan 4, 1994 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Janet Riley was born July 11, 1940 in Fremont and grew up in Fremont and Nickerson. She attended North Side Elementary, Nickerson District 19 and Fremont Senior High Schools. graduating in 1958. Jan Howard died Tuesday, Jan 4, 1994 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Janet Riley was born July 11, 1940 in Fremont and grew up in Fremont and Nickerson. She attended North Side Elementary, Nickerson District 19 and Fremont Senior High Schools. graduating in 1958. She worked part time at the First National Bank in Fremont from 1957 until 1961 when she moved to San Fernando, California. She worked for United California Bank as a proof operator for two years and moved to Simi Valley in 1963 where she worked for Bank of America. She returned to Fremont in 1969 and worked for the First National Bank in Fremont as a loan officer until 1984. She then worked at American National Bank in Fremont as Vice-President and cashier for the past three years and was director of the Heritage Club for the past year. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Acrie 200 Auxiliary in Fremont. Riley married Joseph "Chuck" Howard April 29, 1961 in Malibu Beach, CA. He survives. Other survivors include two brothers, R.L. "Gunner" and Mike, both of Fremont; a sister, Sherry Eary of Fremont and her mother Viola Riley of Fremont. She was preceded in death by a sister. There will be no visitation or Burial. A Memorial has been established to Salvation Army Church. ==== Jan died of metastatic lung cancer.
