Description	:	Janet L. Paccapaniccia (Bjortvedt) 73, of Emporia, Kansas, entered into rest March 9, 2019 at her home, under the care of Hospice and her family. She suffered the effects of her 17 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born October 12, 1945, the daughter of Miles and Lola (Haun) True in Junction City, KS and raised in Council Grove. Janet studied Liberal Arts at Emporia State Teachers College and is a graduate of Emporia School of Cosmetology. Janet studied Liberal Arts at Emporia State Teachers College and is a graduate of Emporia School of Cosmetology. Janet was the sole proprietor of Nicci’s, “well known” Fine Styling Salon, where she spent the remainder of her 47 year cosmetology career. Other than her passion for the beauty industry and dedication to her clientele, Janet enjoyed her home in the country, gardening watching the wildlife and birds, traveling with Steve and loved spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by them all. Janet is survived by her husband Steve Bjortvedt of the home; son Louis Paccapaniccia and wife Jo and daughter Maria Emery and husband Gary, all of Shawnee, KS; grandchildren: Marcus and Lauren Paccapaniccia, and Logan and Macee Emery. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, March 15, 2019, at Zeiner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Council Grove, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Hand in Hand Hospice of Emporia or the Local Chapter of MS Society. They may be sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, PO Box 273, Council Grove, KS 66846
