Description	:	Janet Lee (Palmer) Johnson, 69 of St. Edward, NE passed away Saturday at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE. Janet, daughter of Fay L. and Bessie L. (Mickelson) Palmer, was born May 19, 1942 at Spalding, NE. Janet attended Albion Public School through the Eighth Grade and graduated from Omaha South High School in 1960. (Mickelson) Palmer, was born May 19, 1942 at Spalding, NE. Janet attended Albion Public School through the Eighth Grade and graduated from Omaha South High School in 1960. Following graduation, she worked as a secretary for the Omaha Board of Education. On December 1, 1963, Janet was united in marriage to Victor D. Johnson at the Wheeler Memorial Presbyterian Church in Omaha, NE. The couple made their home on a farm near St. Edward, NE until 1977, a farm near Albion, NE from 1977-1997, and a farm near St. Edward, NE from 1997-2009. Janet moved into St. Edward in 2009. Janet was a homemaker while raising her four children, then worked as a waitress at the Sale Barn Café in Albion from 1984-1996. She then worked at the St. Edward Senior Center from 1997-2010. Janet was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran Women, Sew Happy Mission Quilters, "Club Worthwhile" and the "Kitchen Klatter Klub". Janet is survived by: children: Eric Johnson and Andy Johnson of Albion; Adam Johnson of St. Edward; Deana Wemhoff and husband Jon of Columbus, NE; grandsons: Calvin, Simon, Brett and Michael Wemhoff; brother: Bob Palmer of Omaha; sister: Judy (Dale) Martensen of Columbus, NE; sister-in-law: Bonnie (Dean) McAllister of Murfreesboro, TN; brother-in-law: Eldon (Joan) Courtney of Hillsboro, OR. and a host of relatives and friends. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; husband Victor (Vic) in 1998, brother: Ronald Palmer; sisters: Betty Hall and husband Robert; Maxine Rome and husband Donald; Arlene Courtney; and sister-in-law: Shirley Palmer.
