Janet Louise was born at Alton en route to Scotia Hospital to Gerald and Velda Abrahamson on August 28, 1951. She was the middle daughter of three who are dearly loved and who dearly love each other. The family moved to Eureka when she was a few months old but returned when she was almost five to the home in Rohnerville where she grew up. At that time she met a little girl, Susie, who became her life-long friend. She attended Toddy Thomas school and Fortuna High school, graduating in 1969. She married Blair Langdon in August 1969. In the early 70s, they owned and operated the Hydesville Market and in 1972 Andrea, the love and joy of her life, was born. During Andrea's childhood years, Janet drove the school bus and worked as a teacher's aide at Hydesville School. There she made many friends, big and small she loved them all! Later on she became a care giver in home health service. She and Jim Ross were married in 1989. Her father and her husband, Jim, passed away within a few weeks of each other in 1996; it was a very hard time for her. On March 16, 2000, her beloved granddaughter, Madison Louise, was born. A high school reunion brought Janet and Chester Craddock back together (they had once dated when they were young). They were married in 2006 and live in Hydesville. Janet had a passion for gardening and it showed. Complete strangers would stop by the house and ask for snip of this or that, this pleased her very much. She had a very generous heart and soul and was very proud of her beautiful yard. Picking blackberries and making a pie every 4th of July was her favorite tradition. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed making other people happy. Remember: Love, Live and Laugh! She is survived by her husband Chet (Dewey) Craddock, daughter Andrea and husband Ray Haselip, granddaughter Madison Rotary, mother Velda Abrahamson, sisters Mary Griswold, DeeAnne and husband Doug Green, niece Rebecca and Nick Weinberger of Germany. Aunts and Uncles: Darrell and Louise Branson, Arlon and Patti Branson, Ann and Glenn Gracey, brother-in-law Robert Craddock and wife Lily and numerous cousins; and special lifetime friends, Susie (Cline) Kirchman and Jan (Doolaege) Carrico. She is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Abrahamson, grandparents, William and Cleo Branson, Charles and Ellen Sobol, Edwin Abrahamson, second husband Jimmy L. Ross and dear friend Kathy Patton Doolaege. The family would like to give special thanks to her loving neighbors Alice, John and Crystal who helped her so very much. Also to the staff at Eureka Internal Medicine, and to Dr. Olkin, Dr. Luh and Dr. Hassapas. Friends and family are invited to a Graveside service Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Sunrise Cemetery, 3315 Newburg Rd., Fortuna, Ca. There will be a Celebration of Life following the service at 3365 A St., Hydesville. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to The American Cancer Society.
