Description	:	Janet L. Kayl, 63, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be 11a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, with the Rev. Jerry Gilbreath officiating. Burial will be in Obert Cemetery, Obert, Neb. Janet was born July 7, 1943, in Maskell, Neb., the daughter of Glen and Delores (Anderson) Pederson. She came to Sioux City with her family as a child. She attended Sioux City schools and graduated from Central High School. She married Larry Kayl on Dec. 27, 1960. They were later divorced. She worked in the labor and delivery unit at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center for 25 years. She was of Lutheran faith. Survivors include four children, Steve Kayl and his wife, Lupe of Sioux City, Scott Kayl of South Sioux City, Teresa and her husband, Mike Michelakakis of Sioux City, and Willie Kayl of Sioux City; two brothers and a sister, Rick Pederson, Linda and her husband, Tom Hendricks, and Randy Pederson, all of Sioux City; and 10 grandchildren, Paul, Jessica, Frankie, Tristin, Rita, John, Emmanuel, D.J., Drey, and Devin. She was preceded in death by her parents.
