The services will be held in Kimball Protestant Parish, with burial in the Riverview Cemetery at Chamberlain. The services will be held in Kimball Protestant Parish, with burial in the Riverview Cemetery at Chamberlain. Janet Seuberling was born on June 16, 1940, at Canova to Frank and Frieda (Stangohr) Seuberling. She graduated from Canova High School in 1958. She then attended General Beadle Teacher's College in Madison and received her teacher's certificate. She taught at the Mentele School in Pearl Township for one year. She married Frank Schooler on Dec. 5, 1959. They lived in Sioux Falls for two years and then moved to the Schooler Ranch south of Reliance. She was a substitute teacher. Janet married Donald Balster on Aug. 20, 1978. They lived on the Balster farm in Kimball. Due to failing health, she moved into Prairie View Assisted Living in Kimball in 2004. She lived there for 3 1/2 years until moving to Sunset Valley Haven in Chamberlain. Survivors include her husband, Donald of Kimball; three sons, David (Lynn) Schooler of Eldridge, Iowa, Tim (Eileen) Schooler of Carver, Minn., and Newley Schooler of Kimball; six grandchildren; two sisters, Alyce Lundberg and Edith (Dwayne) Pecks, both of Madison; a brother, Tom Seuberling of Litchfield Park, Ariz.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lola gunderson; an infant daughter, Kristina Balster; three nephews and a niece. The Hickey-Wevik Funeral Home of Chamberlain is in charge of arrangements. Madison Daily Leader 02/18/2008
