Born April 16, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Wesley M. and Blanche D. Briley Hughes. She was a graduate of The Plains High School, attended The First Christian Church in Athens and was employed as a housekeeper. She is survived by a niece, Joyce Rawson; a nephew, Bruce Sprague; and two great nephews. Services will be Friday at 11:00 AM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Jeff Bartlett officiating. Burial will be in West Union Street Cemetery.
