Description	:	HENDERSON- Janice Haithcock Strange, 85, of US 158 Bypass, died Monday, April 12, 2021 at Hock Family Pavilion. Born in Vance County on August 9, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ardis Benjamin Haithcock and Lois Roberson Haithcock and was the widow of Robert Earl Strange. She was retired from Century Link and was a member of Harriett Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at Harriett Baptist Church by Rev. Will Breedlove. Born in Vance County on August 9, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ardis Benjamin Haithcock and Lois Roberson Haithcock and was the widow of Robert Earl Strange. She was retired from Century Link and was a member of Harriett Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at Harriett Baptist Church by Rev. Will Breedlove. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. Mrs. Strange is survived by her daughter, Jan S. Rainey and husband Ray of Henderson; and two grandsons, Bryan Rainey and wife, Nicole of Creedmoor and Ashton Rainey of Raleigh. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Haithcock. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 1:15 until 1:50 at Harriett Baptist Church and at other times, at her home, 1851 US 158 Bypass, Henderson. Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Rainey, Ashton Rainey, Bill Tippett, Russell Haithcock, Billy Davidson, Marty Robinson, Billy Perry and Lawrence Hilliard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harriett Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1354 Ruin Creek Road, Henderson, NC 27537. Attendees at the visitation and service are asked to wear appropriate face coverings and practice social distancing. Date of Death: Monday, April 12, 2021
