Description	:	Janie Sue Oliver Bell Smith FLORENCE — Janie Sue Oliver Smith, 89, passed away on July 14, 2009 at Southland Health Care in Florence. The daughter of the late Tillman Oliver and the late Minnie Odom Oliver, she was born September 9, 1919 in the Peniel Community of Florence County. She was the widow of Frederick Smith. Mrs. Smith retired from La-Z-Boy Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Surviving are: her only child, a son, James W. Read More	Janie Sue Oliver Bell Smith FLORENCE — Janie Sue Oliver Smith, 89, passed away on July 14, 2009 at Southland Health Care in Florence. The daughter of the late Tillman Oliver and the late Minnie Odom Oliver, she was born September 9, 1919 in the Peniel Community of Florence County. She was the widow of Frederick Smith. Mrs. Smith retired from La-Z-Boy Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Surviving are: her only child, a son, James W. Jimmy Smith and wife Karen Love Smith, grandson Jason Smith and wife Kate Rather Smith, all of Florence; grandson Barry Smith and wife Becky of Clemson; and great granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Smith; step grandson Alton Love and wife Regina, step grandson Jimmy Love and wife Kelly, and step grandchildren Evan, Maggie, Mac, and Chase Love all of Hartsville; and a special caring niece Irene Jump. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by five brothers and one sister, Nelson Oliver, Lee Oliver, Jessie Oliver, Minor Oliver, Ernest Oliver, Juanita Oliver McElveen; and a special niece Christine Altman. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with interment following in Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.
