Jack Arnold Dever at Windfall Christian church Saturday at 7:30 p. hi. Rev. Joseph Mahlor performed the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Foreman, Windfall, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Oval Dever, Hobbs. The altar of the church was decorated with candelabra and arches with lighted candles and palms. Flowers were white gladiolus and white snapdragons. During the ceremony Byrona Barker played appropriate music and accompanied Jim Foreman, brother of the bride, she sang "Because" and the "Lord's Prayer." Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a candlelight satin/gown fashioned with a long train. The illusion net yoke was edged with embroidered flowers and down the front of the waist and around the bodice covered buttons trimmed in back. The sleeves were long and tapered to points over the hands, and the veil was illusion net entwined with pearls. She carried a white Bible crested with a nosegay of red rose buds and white ribbons. Attendants Wears Blue. Mrs. Richard Walker, Curtisville, matron of honor, wore a blue gown and carried a nosegay of pink carnations with blue, ribbon streamers. Best man was Richard Walker, Curtisville, and ushers were Jerry Pritchard, Windfall and Gerry Heath, of Windfall. Mrs. Foreman, mother of the bride, wore a blue dress with white accessories, and Mrs. Dever, mother of the bridegroom, wore a gray dress with black accessories. Each had a red rose corsage. . A reception in the basement of the church followed the ceremony, with Atala Faye Browning, Margaret Stainbrook and Geraldine Harvey in charge. Centerpiece for the serving table was a three tiered wedding cake. Decorations were bells and white satin bows. Approximately 125 guests attended. Guests were from Milford, Tipton, Alexandria, Elwood, and Indianapolis. For traveling the bride wore a gray suit with brown accessories. The bride was graduated from Windfall high school in 1949 and is employed as a stenographer at the Mitchell Farm office. The groom was graduated, from Windfall high school in 1948 and is stationed at Camp Rucker, Ala. Survivors include a daughter, Lisa (husband Ed) Tentler; two sons, Michael (Lisa) Dever and Randy (Linda) Dever; several grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Tuttle. Her husband of 50 years, Jack A. Dever, died on March 28, 2002. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Windfall Christian Church, Windfall, with the Rev. Carl Roudebush officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery in Windfall. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood. Submitted with honor and respect.
